    The Motherhouse

    The Motherhouse is located next door to the Stevens Square 55 Plus Active Adult community. It’s the centerpiece of the campus, an enduring historic feature of Portland, it’s gold dome visible from throughout the city.

    Constructed in 1906 and home to the Sisters of Mercy until 2005, the Motherhouse has recently been preserved to its original architectural glory. It now contains 66 affordable and 22 market-priced rental apartments for seniors and a vibrant sense of community.
