Elizabeth, Larry, and 30 acres of woods
Elizabeth and Larry Estey, previously of Stonington, Maine, were the first people to reserve their spot at Stevens Square. Their home will be in Building One. The Esteys recently spent a couple of hours on camera in Baxter Woods and discussed their journey to the community.
Baxter Woods is a 30-acre preserve with 2 ponds, miles of walking paths, and open meadows right next to Stevens Square. It's a prime spot for birding, dog walking, and quiet contemplation in nature.
In fact, the Esteys will be able to walk directly out of their Stevens Square home, right into the largest undisturbed forest in Portland, Maine, in the heart of the city's walkable Deering Center neighborhood. This was one of several primary reasons Elizabeth and Larry chose to relocate to Stevens Square. Their story will be featured prominently in upcoming videos.
So stay tuned to Around the Square!
